In this age of technology, success is often a measure of a student’s ability to master the technological tools at their disposal.
The computer curriculum at Advent, which begins in kindergarten, stresses the skill sets that we believe will be needed in the future. The ability to type quickly on a keyboard is one such skill set.
Others include word processing, spreadsheets, research via the internet, and multimedia. Upper school students are encouraged to do theme papers, compositions, and research papers on the computer.
And with the arrival of the school’s new iPads, faculty will be working with the students to usher in another new, exciting skill set.
