Welcome to Advent!

We have such a wonderful story to tell and are excited that you are interested in learning more about the Advent Advantage. Start here…Go Anywhere means just that! Our unique curriculum prepares our students for the transition into high school and beyond. They are highly recruited by the top high schools in Birmingham as well as the most prestigious boarding schools across the country. It is also why we were recognized as the highest performing independent K-8 school in Alabama.

Our location in downtown Birmingham offers an array of educational opportunities.  But, while we do a lot of walking to museums, theatres, libraries, and cultural centers, we also take over 70 field trips each year.

Advent students come from all over the Birmingham Metropolitan area. Our unique culture offers opportunities for children to experience a variety of different lifestyles and backgrounds. We believe that this experience prepares our students for lives of responsibility, leadership and service.

Parents, faculty and staff help create a family-friendly atmosphere. The Advent community fosters relationships that last a lifetime. Our students become engaged, critical learners in a safe and loving environment. Our talented faculty challenge and inspire our students to learn, explore and grow.

Even though my job is to act as your "tour guide" through the application process, I am also a cheerleader. I have personally experienced the advantages of an Advent education with my sons, both whom are Advent graduates.

I encourage you to plan a visit to the campus. We offer several open houses throughout the year and are always happy to schedule a campus tour at your convenience. Visit our campus and experience the Advent difference!

We look forward to getting to know your family and sharing our story with you!
