  • LAYING THE FOUNDATION

We have created an educational environment that is deliberately focused on building a strong, life-long foundation of seeking. Our youngest students build in-depth basic skills, are taught the value of honesty and the value of friendship, with the guidance of teachers who love them. Our young learners explore, observe and create in various interest centers, helping them to discover their interests. At the end of their kindergarten experience, each child has gained a love of learning and enthusiastically looks forward to first grade.

Please take a look around to learn more about our unique academic program that lays a solid foundation so that our students can start here and go anywhere.
  • SPACES

Bright - Comfortable - Engaging - Cheerful. Advent's learning spaces for our youngest students offer a welcome haven where the students feel safe and secure knowing they are loved for who they are. In their homerooms, they have no trouble finding their names posted all around on the walls. Their homerooms also have attached child-sized restrooms. Designed for learning, these spaces are also their home away from home.
  • EXPLORIUM

This magical space combines a library, a stage, an indoor forest, a slide, spaces that encourage exploration and discovery, and gathering spaces.
  • TECHNOLOGY

Even our youngest grades have access to the latest in educational technologies. Teachers use projection and ActivBoards to convey compelling educational material. All students have access to school-supplied iPads for their keyboarding classes and skill-building apps.
  • PLAY SPACES

OUTDOORS- The Playground is designed for the younger students, with ample space to run, throw balls, and scale the climbing structures. There are also outdoor building blocks and ridable toys, with all play on a safe, cushioned surface.
The Rooftop Gym has a full basketball court with a child-friendly surface.

INDOORS - The Advent Gym is where the younger students have their P.E. classes.
  • FIELD TRIPS

Our Lower School students go on more than 10 Field Trips each year. See a listing to the right. Of course, their parents are encouraged to attend.
  • DRESS CODE

The children should dress in what makes them comfortable. If they want to wear a striped shirt with checkered pants - go for it!

Every Lower School Student:

  • Performs on stage
  • Takes French
  • Takes Art
