We would LOVE to show you Advent!

Tours are scheduled every Wednesday that the school is in session. We invite you to join us at 8:00 a.m. for our weekly chapel service. The campus tour will begin immediately following chapel at 9 a.m.

The tour is open to anyone who has a child and is interested in learning more about the school. No reservations are necessary although we would love to hear from you if you are planning to join us!

Prospective families should gather at the Front Office of the school at 8 a.m. to attend chapel and take the tour, or 9 a.m. if you would prefer the tour only. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Yancey at myancey@adventepiscopalschool.org.

**Please note we will NOT be offering campus tours on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 during our scheduled Grandparents Day or Wednesday, November 21, 2018 during our school break. We invite you to join us for a tour after Thanksgiving!

Areas covered on tour:

List of 10 items.

  • Classrooms

Advent's classrooms are designed for the student experience. On tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit prekindergarten and kindergarten classrooms as well as visit both our lower school (1st-4th grade) classrooms as well as upper school (5th-8th grade) classrooms.
  • Science Lab

Advent is lucky to have both a lower school and upper school science lab. Science is best learned when applied and our science labs allow students to experience science in action!
  • STEM Lab

At Advent, our STEM goal is to transform the typical teacher-centered classroom by utilizing a curriculum that is driven by problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning, and require students to actively engage a situation in order to find its solution. The STEM lab is designed to foster this particulary type of learning environment.
  • Music Program

Advent's music program is unmatched. On tour you'll have an opportunity to see our state-of-the-art performing space and learn more about music across ages at Advent.
  • Foreign Language Program

There are tremendous benefits to learning a foreign language at a young age. French is taught at all grade levels beginning with our youngest students. It's not unusual for our PreK students to belt out their favorite French song for you during the tour!
  • Art Studios

Art plays a critical role in an Advent student's experience. You may even have the chance to see the pottery wheels in action during your tour.
  • Explorium

The Explorium is our flexbile library space. Maintaining library space that allows students the freedom and resources to explore is critical.
  • Chapel

Chapel time is one of the most important parts of our week at Advent. Each Wednesday, students, faculty, and staff gather as a school community in the nave as time for reflection and support, and to reaffirm to students that they are truly loved and cherished. Students are full participants in the service, which reinforces leadership skills and bolsters their public speaking ability. Parents are always welcome, and are encouraged to attend and sit with their child.
  • Athletic Facilities

Located in the heart of downtown, Advent is fortunate to have two large athletic spaces on campus. You'll have the chance to see our full gymnasium as well as our rooftop gym!
  • Playground

Having time to play is key for brains that are ready to learn! We will be sure you have the chance to check out our playground located right on campus during your visit.
