Advent Episcopal School was founded in 1950 by the vision and philanthropy of a few, and has expanded to a community of cheerful parents, donors, and stewards who believe that a culture of giving inspires others to donate, collaborate, and to contribute talents and resources. Financial gifts are seen as a way in which everyone participates at whatever level possible to create the conditions for success of Advent--its mission, faculty, students, programs and downtown Birmingham.
We find that people will stretch if they care about the outcome, and we all care about the outcome of Advent and its surrounding community. Each year, the core to the financial sustainability of our school is the Annual Fund.
Other vehicles for financial participation are the biennial Advent Auction
, major gifts, and strategic campaigns.
This is an exciting time in the history of Advent as we enhance the strongest academic program in the state as well as build our endowment so that we can maintain the tradition of excellence. Alumni, parents, trustees, grandparents, past parents, faculty, staff and friends can support Advent and its mission in numerous ways, thus ensuring that we continue to provide students of diverse backgrounds the finest possible educational environment today and in the future.
