As part of Birmingham Regional Independent Athletic Association (BRIAA), Advent offers a recreational basketball program for all Advent students who are enrolled in Pre-K through the sixth grade.
The purpose of the BRIAA basketball program is to help students to develop and to improve their basic basketball skills and to learn good sportsmanship. All teams are coached by volunteer parents. BRIAA modifies basketball rules for Pre-K through 4th grade teams to promote development and safety. It is the goal of BRIAA that teams throughout the grade levels are as balanced as is reasonably possible.

Recreational basketball is our largest sport with an average of 115 players and 14 teams each season. Throughout the past several years Advent has won over 10 championships.
