As a core belief that our children should learn in a healthy environment, Advent has a full time Registered Nurse and School Counselor who help facilitate the educational process by improving and protecting the health and wellness of students. Nurse Lindsay Bearden, RN, plays an important role in taking care of students who become sick during school hours; in addition, she teaches healthy behaviors to the students and plays an essential role in keeping the children at Advent healthy, safe and ready to learn. Mrs. Jennifer Dunn, PSC, attends to the mental wellness of our students. She teaches social-emotional lessons, provides guidance, and works with students to address and support their needs.
Our dedicated Health Room is equipped with all that is needed to provide excellent care to our children. The Health Room is also the location for the administering of prescription medications during the school day. If your child needs to take any medication while at school a Medication Form must be completed. Please see the "Health Room Information Sheet" below for more information regarding medication administration at school.

Our Student Services Office is designed for students and families to feel welcome and supported as they meet with the school counselor. Small groups targeting specific needs, individual sessions and consultations are scheduled by Mrs. Jennifer Dunn. If you feel that your child may benefit from a visit with Mrs. Dunn, please reach out.
