Claire Cassady Vaughn ‘03
Head of School
Claire Vaughn brings 15 years of experience in independent school leadership to her role as Head of School at Advent Episcopal School. A Birmingham native and Advent alumna, Claire returned to the school in 2018 after leading admissions, fundraising, marketing, and communications efforts in both Raleigh, NC and Birmingham. She assumed the role of Head of School in 2021.
Claire holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Vanderbilt University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education. Deeply connected to the Birmingham community, she has served in leadership and volunteer roles with organizations throughout the city.
