Lessons & Carols 2025
Join us for one of Advent’s most beloved traditions!
The Advent tradition of Lessons & Carols stems from the very first Festival of Lessons and Carols that was held on Christmas Eve in 1918 in the chapel of King's College in Cambridge, England. Advent has been continuing this tradition as a school for over fifty years. All of our students, JPK- 8th grade, participate in the service which is a perfect start to the Christmas season. In addition to this Anglican tradition, Advent's Festival of Lessons and Carols has a unique tradition of its own. Each year, students and alumni join together to sing O Holy Night in French during the Sunday service.
Additional Fellowship Opportunities
Alumni Christmas Party
After the Sunday afternoon Festival of Lessons & Carols on December 14, join us at City Club of Birmingham for our annual Alumni & Friends Christmas Party! Bring the family for an afternoon filled with holiday cheer, festive drinks, delicious bites, and joyful fellowship with fellow alumni and friends. Plus, we have a very special guest this year—Santa himself! We look forward to creating lasting memories and sharing in the holiday spirit with our Advent community.
